Our Maths curriculum for 2026–27, set out half term by half term from Year 7 to Year 11.
Each year is divided into six half terms: two in the autumn, two in the spring and two in the summer. At Key Stage 3, every student follows the same sequence of topics. At Key Stage 4, students follow either the Castlebrook or the Whittlebrook pathway, each with its own sequence.
Key Stage 3: Years 7 to 9

Key Stage 4: two pathways
In Years 10 and 11, students follow either the Castlebrook or the Whittlebrook pathway. Castlebrook works through a detailed sequence of topics and finishes Year 11 with two rounds of revision and mock examinations. Whittlebrook groups topics into broader half-term themes and finishes Year 11 with revision, consolidation and assessment entries.
Preparation starts early: simultaneous equations and trigonometry are introduced for Castlebrook students at the end of Year 9.
